it is seldom that one finds a good friend. and even more seldom that you get to keep them close. sometimes we find friends who, though far away, we know that like that good old book, we can pick up on any page and know just where we stand, just what is going on, and excited enough knowing what might happen next. in this case, i found a good friend. not too far, and not too near. but just right.

Ang aking kaibigang paru-paro
Pakpak nya'y marikit
Kulay nya'y kaakit-akit
Sa kanyang taglay na kariktan
Hatid nya'y kasiyahan

Ang aking kaibigan
Lungkot ko'y pinapawi
Katabi sya sa oras na ako'y sawi
Problema ay nalilimutan
Pag sya'y nasilayan...

Salamat kaibigan...
Tulong mo'y hindi tatalikdan
Lumipas man ang panahon
At ikaw ay lumisan...

Kariktan mo'y mananatili
Ningning mo'y di magmamaliw
